Billie J. Brown Phipps, 83 of Anderson and formerly of Fairmount, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at Aperion Care Center in Marion.
Billie was born in White Pine, Tennessee on December 28, 1941, daughter of the late Howard and Nettie B. (Bishop) Reno. Billie attended Fairmount Schools. She married Lester I. Brown on June 10, 1960. Billie and Lester raised 3 children, Lester, Jeffrey and Lori before Lester preceded her in death on January 30, 1999. She married Harley G. Phipps on October 17, 2009. Billie and worked at Thomson Consumer Electronics as a machine attendant for 29 years retiring in 2001. Billie enjoyed cooking, crocheting, sewing, camping, shopping, and collecting dolls but, the most important thing in her life was her relationship with God and her family. She had been a faithful member at the Upland Christian Center and the Good Shepherd Church of Huntsville.
Billie is survived by her husband Harley Phipps; children, Jeffrey (Tina) Brown, Eaton, and Lori Holman, Gas City; grandchildren, Leslie Wallace, Jenna Brown, Derrick Brown, Dillon (Manda) Brown, Andrea (Thomas) Yang, Brittany (Justin Wright) Brown, Maddox Brown, Bethany (Tanner) Peters, and TJ (Abby) Holman; great-grandchildren, Kaylee Gray, Valerie Yang, JC'onna Brown, Hazel Holman, Alistair Holman, Primrose Holman, Nolan Peters, Brewer Peters, Kyler Atkinson, Conner Strunck, and Kelley Fugate; siblings, Earl (Linda) Reneau, Fairmount, Roger (Heather) Reneau, Montpelier, and John (Karen) Reneau, Marion; daughter-in-law Diann Brown.
Billie was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Lester, three infant children, Mary Ellen, Belinda Gayle and Jonathan Wayne; son, Lester Brown, brother, Charles (Margaret) Reno; sisters, Christine (Thomas) Watson and Rosemary Horn; son-in-law, Terry Holman; and great-grandson, Crew Peters.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana were visitation will be on July 8, 2025 from 4-7 PM and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Funeral service celebration Billie's life will be on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at 1 PM with Pastors Jeffrey Brown and Claude Creel officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Fairmount.
