It is with our deepest sorrow and regret to announce the death of our precious beloved Brandy, age 46, who courageously fought her own personal battle with cancer. So sweet by nature, her personality reflects all.
Brandy leaves one accomplished, loved son, Nijaul Ricks, and her constant companion, Chad Ricks. He was a true, life partner, whom she cherished and loved. She is also survived by her mother and step-father, Sheila and Ender Yigit. She was an affectionate mother and Ender was the ever-present, devoted step-father.
She was preceded in death by her father, James "J.C." Doyle, who was her true, adored mentor.
Years ago, Brandy left home for a career in Lorraine, Ohio. She fiercely kept her independence but instantly formed lasting relationships with colleagues, resulting in close-knit friendships. Brandy relished living on Lake Erie, taking long walks on the pier, watching mass sailboats, and viewing the lighthouse. She was energized by the sun, and she enjoyed camping plus all outdoor and fitness activities.
Brandy loved her family immensely, gravitating back to Fairmount so frequently. A small-town girl at heart, Brandy truly loved James Dean. She could look out her bedroom window and see Park Cemetery, where he resided. Every bit of an eccentric in life, Brandy's entire wardrobe since early childhood consisted of only black and white. Those were her favorite colors for every season. She simply cherished all music, with Jim Morrison being one of her favorite artists. Brandy was an avid collector of "Titanic" memorabilia, long before the movie ever came out. Her heart will live on in us all.
After Brandy's cremation, there will be a private Circle of Life Celebration for immediate family only. A full designated mass in Brandy's honor will be held later at the Catholic Church.
