Carol E. (Barton) Coppock, 85, of Gas City Indiana, passed away surrounded by her family and loved ones on Wednesday, September 25, 2024. She was born on April 14, 1939, to Harold and Edna Barton of Gas City, Indiana. She was a graduate of Mississinewa High School.
She married James (Jim) Coppock on March 17, 1956 in Gas City, Indiana.
Together they shared three children, Renee (Dan) Kelchak, Wayne (Linda) Coppock, Darren (Vonna) Coppock; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Jim Coppock; siblings, Raymond (Janet) Barton, Sandy Baker, Cheryl Wilson, Cindy (Phil) Fortney, Karen (Dave) Hinds; brother-in-law, Robert (Sue) Coppock; along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her parents, Harold and Edna Barton; brothers, Roger Barton and Jerry Barton; brothers-in-law, Hollis Baker, Ronald Davis and John Wilson.
Carol spent most of her career working in finance and real estate.
Carol lived life to the fullest, spending time with her many family members, traveling the country and living part of her life in Florida and part in Indiana, with the love of her life, Jim.
She loved baking cookies with her mother and Sunday dinners with her extended family. Her favorite thing was to bring all of her children and grandchildren together, then watch them laugh and enjoy each other. It was important to her that each of her family members knew how much she loved them. She enjoyed playing card games and winning! Time spent with her brothers and sisters was always full of love and laughter.
All of our lives are richer because of our beautiful, kind and wise Carol.
We will gather to celebrate Carol's life with a viewing on Saturday, September 27, 2024, 12:00 noon-2:00 pm. Service will immediately follow at 2:00 pm at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main Street, Gas City, Indiana.
