Chad Mitchell Wickham

Chad Mitchell Wickham, 51, of Upland, IN, died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2022, at IU Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie, Indiana.

Chad was born Nov. 19, 1970, in Muncie, Indiana, he was the son of Douglas Wickham and Sandra (Drischel) Rouzer. Chad graduated from Marion High School Class of 1989.

Chad had previously work at Skippy Peanut Butter in Arkansas. For many years he was honored to live on several different yachts as a deck mate for Mrs. Kroc, Mr. Grass, and Bernie Little. During his time as a deck mate he was honored to meet President George H. Bush and traveled through the Panama Canal.

Chad was always happy and always smiling, he had an optimistic outlook on life. In 2006 he was the recipient of a kidney and pancreas through a transplant program, but that never change his optimism. He was an avid sports enthusiast, he could tell you anything about any sports teams or players.

He is survived by his father and step-mother, Douglas and Vickie Wickham, Marion, IN; his mother and step-father, Sandra and David Rouzer, Florida; grandmother, Betty Boyer, Marion, IN; step-sisters, Lucrisha Bowman, Marion, IN; and Kelly (Kenny) Oliver, Marion, IN; his special aunt, Kathy (Rick) May, Virginia; special friends, Dee Wee and Toby; his special cat companion, Peanut; and many friends in Arkansas.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ivan and Florence Drischel, and Edie and Oscar Wickam.

A memorial celebration of life for Chad will be held on Monday, Oct. 3, 2022, at 7:00 PM, with Pastor Tom Mansbarger officiating at the Jones-Smith Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 259 N. Main St, Upland, IN, there will be a time of gathering from 6-7 PM prior to the memorial service.
