Joyce A. DeCamp, 89, of Upland, Indiana, peacefully departed this life on March 13, 2026, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. Born on January 19, 1937, to the late Ralph and Crystal Bell, Joyce embodied warmth and affection throughout her life.
Joyce's journey began in Hartford City, where she was raised in a loving Pentecostal home. She married her beloved husband, Edward DeCamp, on August 8, 1955, and together they cultivated a life filled with laughter and cherished memories.
Joyce will be remembered for her vibrant spirit and genuine love for family and friends. She found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was sharing daily lunches with her siblings at The Pickle, spending hours connecting with the world on her computer, or loving on "fat babies." Her nurturing nature was evident in her unwavering dedication to feeding those she loved and tending to the needs of those around her.
Joyce is survived by her sons, Edward DeCamp Jr. and Rocci DeCamp; daughter, Gina Bosworth; brothers Ralph (Janet) Bell and Lee Allen (Rita) Bell; beloved grandchildren, Tina Holliday, Denise (Aaron) Oyler, and Gabrielle Bosworth; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Crystal; husband, Ed DeCamp; grandson, Jeremiah Rupel; and brothers, Max and Mike Bell.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones-Smith Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services. In accordance with Joyce's wishes, cremation will take place.
