Connie Stewart Obituary

Connie R. Stewart, 77, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Connie was born on July 3, 1948, in Marion, to the late Walter and Norine (Moore) Davis. Connie graduated from Mississinewa High School in 1966 and spent many fulfilling years as a manager at Village Pantry and Circle K in Marion and Upland.

Known for her wit and humor, she created a welcoming home where friends and family were always embraced with open arms. Her love for Jesus was evident in her life, and she was an active member of New Life Fellowship in Gas City for several years.

A devoted grandmother, Connie cherished attending every event involving her grandchildren. She had a passion for cooking and a love for Elvis and The Game Show Network, which brought her immense joy. Throughout her life, Connie exemplified resilience, overcoming many challenges with grace and strength.

She is survived by her sons, Ron Stewart, Fairmount; and Travis (Kristi) Stewart, Gas City; grandchildren, Sloane Stewart, Mia Stewart, Katelin McVay, Dallas Stewart, Gracie Stewart, Abbie Stewart, and Garrett Stewart; great-grandchildren, Cole Greer; and Mavrie McVay; brother, David Davis, Marion; several nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Norine (Moore) Davis; and sister, Marilyn Marden.

Arrangements for Connie were entrusted to the Mississinewa Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services. 200 North 7th Street, Gas City, Indiana 46933. Funeral services will be held in her honor at New Life Fellowship, 201 E. North A Street, Gas City, Indiana, 46933, on August 30, 2025. A public viewing will take place from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, leading into the funeral service, which will begin at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Paul McPhearson officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate the life of this extraordinary woman.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to New Life Fellowship in memory of Connie R. Stewart. Her loving spirit will be profoundly missed, and her legacy will continue to shine through the lives she touched.
