Send FlowersWith heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Drew A. Weesner, who left us on August 15, 2025, at the age of 39. Born on November 13, 1985, to the late Thomas (Jeff) Weesner and Mychele (Crum) Monks, Drew was a vibrant soul whose laughter echoed in the hearts of all who knew him. Drew was a 2004 graduate of Madison Grant High school. He later went on to get his associates degree at Ivy Tech. He dedicated his professional life to General Motors, where he worked on the production line, embodying the spirit of hard work and dedication.
Drew had a unique gift for making people laugh, often filling rooms with his wit and humor. His passions included cooking delicious meals, diving into the worlds of video games and board games, and getting lost in the pages of a good book. However, nothing brought him more joy than his unwavering love for Michigan football. Drew also had a special bond with his cat Penny, who he loved dearly.
He is survived by his loving mother and step-father, Mychele and Pat Monks; his brother Greg (Ashley) Weesner; and his siblings, Sara and Kiel Monks. Drew also leaves behind cherished memories with his grandfather, Tom Weesner, and his adored nephew and nieces; Wyot, Weslyn, Ella, and Mia.
Drew was preceded in death by his father, Thomas (Jeff) Weesner, and his beloved grandparents: Carol Weesner, Paul and Emma Crum, and Don and Kathy Monks.
Services will be entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, located at 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount. A Life Celebration will take place on Friday, August 22, 2025, at 12:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Jeff Luedtke. Prior to the service, visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, allowing friends and family to gather and share their fond memories of Drew.
In honor of his spirit and compassion, memorial contributions may be directed to the St. Vincent Foundation for Transplant – 250 W 96th St, Suite 470, Indianapolis IN 46260. 317-338-2338.
