Ella Mae (Locke) Guerin, 89, was granted her angel wings on Feb. 16, 2023, as she transitioned peacefully, with her loving family by her side in Malden, MO.
Ella Mae, or Ms. Ella; as she was affectionately called, was born in Stoddard County Missouri to Ruth and Robert Locke on Feb. 4, 1934. Ella Mae dedicated her life to God, early in life, and was a founding member of New Light Baptist Church, in Marion, where she served faithfully, until establishing membership at Greater Second Baptist Church in Marion.
Ella Mae is preceded in death by her parents, her only brother, Robert Franklin, and one grandchild, Jeremy Farr. She was also preceded by the late James Farr Jr., her first husband and the father of her 12 loving children, her step-father John Taylor, and three step-brothers, Jerry, Willie, and Cleveland Taylor.
Ella Mae was truly a blessed woman. She leaves, to cherish her memory, her 12 children, Moses Farr (Tammy), of Atlanta, GA, John Dale Farr, of Houston, Texas, Duffie Ray Farr (Carrie), of Greenwood, S.C., Robert Lewis Farr of Houston, Texas, James Farr III (Fanny), of Malden, MO, Ruth Ella (Farr) Dennis, of Malden, MO, Elmira Christine Farr, of Marion, Vera L. Farr, of Malden, MO, Jimmie Mack Farr (Minnie), of Columbus, GA, Faye Elizabeth Farr, of Dallas, Texas, Michael Landon Farr, of Houston, Texas, and Brian Keith Farr, of Houston, Texas. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and 18 great-great- grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Rodney Farr, Frederique Jordan, Orlandis Farr Sr., Marcus Farr, Ryan Cain, and Robbie Farr
Honorary Pallbearers are Tremaine Farr, Kevin Farr, Orlandis Farr Jr., and Marian Farr
Memorials may be sent to Landess Funeral Home in Malden, MO.
The family of Ella Mae wishes to extend our sincere thanks and love to Ridgeview Nursing Manor for their love, support, and continuous care of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25, at Landess Funeral Home in Malden, Missouri, with funeral services beginning at 12 noon in the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Malden, Missouri.
The Reverend Jay Slaughter, of Macedonia Baptist Church, will be officiating. A burial will follow at Macedonia Cemetery, in Malden, Missouri.
Arrangements are being made by Landess Funeral Home, of Malden, Missouri.
