Gary Wayne Oyler, 73, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. Born on February 27, 1952, in Marion, Indiana, he was the son of the late Kenneth Oyler and Betty Johnson. Gary dedicated many years to his work as a furnace operator in the manufacturing industry at Foster Forbes. His strong work ethic and commitment to his craft were evident throughout his career.
Gary had a passion for the great outdoors, enjoying fishing and camping whenever time allowed. He often spent his weekends cooking over the fire in the backyard for his family, building birdhouses, and playing ukulele, a testament to his creativity and love for nature. These activities brought him immense joy, as he cherished the simple pleasures of life with those he loved.
Gary is survived by his children, Aaron (Denise) Oyler, and Sarah (Todd) Holt; his grandchildren, Austin Lanham, Adam Lanham, Lyndsey (Isaiah) Fuller, Seth and Spencer Southworth; and his sister, Debbie (Kenny) Stewart. He was loved and will be missed by several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements for Gary have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 South Western Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46953, where a visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Steve Armes officiating. Entombment will take place at Gardens of Memory, Marion, Indiana.

Sarah, so sorry to hear the loss of your dad, especially so near the passing of your mother. they were both wonderful people. I have some great memories of you and your mom and dad from Sweet Adeline´s. .
