James Cecil (CC) Stodghill, went to be with the Lord on February 11th, 2024, at 6:30 Am at his home surrounded by family at his side. He was born in Marion, Indiana on December 19th, 1958 to Vance and Virginia (Sanders) Stodghill. James was a hard worker he enjoyed being a handyman and enjoyed; Remodeling, painting, gardening, and fishing and he enjoyed free hand drawing. He also liked to help the elderly in need.
James lived in Marion for most of his life except for a few years in Kansas City where he worked for a condominium complex as a groundskeeper until he moved back to Marion.
James loved his family and his Christian ministry shows especially Charles Stanley Ministry. James had a Great sense of humor and loved to joke with everyone.
Survivors include his children; Sons include Derrick Newell, and Todd (Lilly) Newell and Daughter Traci Douglas. Siblings Carol (Stodghill) Cooke, Kenny (Judy) Stodghill, Terry (Barbara) Stodghill, Jackie (Stodghill) Blocker, Ronald (Anita) Stodghill, Donald (Janice) Stodghill, Jerri (Chris) Woods, Shirley (Stodghill) St. John, Becky (Terry) Freyburgher, Tammi Stodghill, Franci (Stodghill) Kessler, Edward Stodghill, and Aunt Shirley Stodghill.
He had many beloved nieces and Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. He was close to longtime friends Pastor Robert E. Love and Martin Koehler.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Sister Debbie, Brother Greg, and his Uncle Don Stodghill.
Funeral Arrangements are being made by Tippecanoe Funeral and Cremation Services with his final resting place being Gardens of Memory. A memorial service is being planned for a future date.

So sad to see this. James helped our Nanny as she was getting older.
Doing her yardwork, took out trash, ran her errands and would also take her to her Dr.s appts. He was a godsend.....Rest in Peace James.

I am sorry to hear of the passing of James. We lived next door to his family in Marion when we lived at Doug's Trailer Court. He will be missed by many who knew him. Rest in peace.

I know him from hilltop towers . He was a great friend of mine . We use to talk a lot about Ohio that´s where I´m from . He will be missed but never forgotten .
