Janet Marie Eagleton, 67, of Marion, passed away at 6:18 pm on Friday, March 14, 2025. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Thursday, November 9, 1957, to Phillip Allen Carl and Mary (Munday) Goins.
Janet was a graduate of Marion High School. She earned her CNA certification and worked at Miller's Merry Manor for 19 years and 10 years at Wesleyan Health Care. Janet was a devoted mother who cherished time spent with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling all over the world.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Bendaly and Heart to Heart Hospice for their compassionate care.
Janet is survived by her mother, Mary (Howard) Goins of Marion; children, Melissa (Raymond Bailey) Eagleton of Marion, Daniel (Laura) Eagleton of Dunn, NC, Christeen (Charlie) Mills of Marion, and Phillip (Sarah) Eagleton of Huntington; siblings, Kathryn Coombs of Katy, TX, Joseph Carl of Marion, Joanna (Joe) Connors of Melbourne, FL, and Michael Carl of Marion; grandchildren, Nathan, Clayton, Jacob, Kayla, and Jaylan; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her father, Phillip Allen Carl, and a granddaughter, Erica Eagleton.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Janet's life will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Jim Sonnefield officiating. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.
