Jeremy Douglas Morgan, 39, of Gas City, Indiana, died Wednesday, May 5, 2021, in his sleep at his residence.
Jeremy was born in Marion, Indiana, on Aug. 11, 1981. He was a graduate of Mississinewa High School (Class of 2000). He was the husband of Heather Elaine (Smith) Morgan. They were married May 30, 2015. They celebrated just shy of 6 years of marriage and 8 years together.
Jeremy worked at ELSA in Elwood, Indiana, until 2018. He then was a stay at home dad who loved his family more than anything. He filled the role of father in every way. Not only with his daughter, who he loved to spend time with, but also with his dogs Ozzy and Pixie and the late Lio the cat. He was a faithful Detroit Lions fan and thought every year "was the year for the superbowl". He loved to watch WWE wrestling and was a huge fan of superhero movies. He also loved to listen to music and take cruises around Gas City on his golf cart.
He is survived by his daughter Tyme Herzog; Parents, Jack (Barbara) Morgan Jr, Fairmount, Kelly Morgan, Gas City, and Mary Gary, Marion; Father-in-law, Ronald (the late Kathy) Smith, Gas City; Siblings, Jack Morgan, III, Fairmount, Jeremy Horn, Gas City, and Barb Wehr, Fowlerton; Sister-in-law, Jennifer (Kristina) Smithparnell, Lafayette; Niece, Sara Morgan; Nephew, CJ Morgan; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Francis Wildoner, and Jack Morgan, Sr.
Jeremy had a tough exterior and a badass attitude. He lived life on his own terms and made his own rules. But in the end, his wife and daughter had his heart. He was a one of kind man that made an impression on everyone he met.
Arrangements for Jeremy have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 South Main Street, where a visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 12, from 4 – 6:30 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 6:30 p.m. The family would like for anyone who comes to feel comfortable wearing jeans, t-shirts, and shorts. It's what Jeremy would have wanted.
