Jerry Lee Wilson, 73, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 2:19 pm, Saturday, October 11, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on October 30, 1951, in Summitville, Indiana, to Oscar James and Hettie Francis (Hendricks) Wilson.
Jerry was a 1970 graduate of Summitville High School, and a US Marine veteran, stationed at Camp Pendleton in San Diego, California. Jerry married Cyndy Morris in Fairmount, Indiana on September 26, 1975. He worked for Indiana American Water Company, retiring after 36 years. Jerry was a member of American Legion Post 15 in Wabash. He was extremely ornery, and enjoyed building things, working outside, and riding his Harley-Davidson. Jerry was a determined individual, and when he had his mind set on something he wanted it done. The joy of his life came from his family, and took great pride in his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, but also took great pleasure from taking his nap.
He is survived by his wife, Cyndy Wilson of Wabash, two daughters, Tracy Brainard and Misty (Justin) Adams, both of Wabash, three grandchildren, Pacia Wilson of Wabash, Kamrin Adams of Peru, and Emma Adams of Wabash, two great-grandchildren, Khyton Hubbard and Kheylynn Hubbard, both of Wabash, three brothers, Ronnie (Pam) Wilson of Kentucky, Ike Wilson of Alexandria, Indiana, and Danny Wilson of Summitville, and two sisters, Patty (Jeff) Moore of Anderson, Indiana, and Brenda Petty of Summitville. He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Mahkahla Nicole Wilson, three brothers, Terry, Ralph, and Linville Wilson, and sister, Jeanette Creamer.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Carol Whetsel Alvernaz officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 12:00 - 2:00 pm, Thursday, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Alzheimer's Association.
