Judith A. Raymer, 80, formerly of Marion, died Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Mason Health and Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw.
Judy was born on August 21, 1943 in Hartford City, Indiana, daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Rye) Bright. Judy attended Fairmount Schools and became a licensed beautician. She married the love of her life, Dennis G. Raymer Jr. on March 3, 1972. He preceded her in death on April 27, 2004. Judy worked at RCA for 9 years and also at York House for 4 years as a nurses aid. Judy was a pistol with a fun and unique sense of humor. She had an opinion on most things and didn't mind sharing it. She enjoyed collecting lighthouses, watching movies, and police and crime show TV, and traveling.
Judy is survived by two daughters; Jacqueline Moore, Huntington, Kathy (William) Johnson, Marion; son, Myron Joe Hess, Marion; and step-son, Russell Raymer, CA; 9 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; brothers: Larry Bright, and Ronnie Bright; sister, Diana Lynn Hubbard, all of Marion.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Joseph, her husband, Dennis, daughter, Lisa Lines, and brother, Gary Bright.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana where visitation will be on Saturday, November 4, 2023 from 11 AM – 1 PM with the funeral service beginning at 1 PM with Bill Sparks officiating. Burial will be at Park Cemetery, Fairmount.
Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Services of Grant County, 305 S Norton St, Marion, IN 46952, or in care of the funeral home.
