Stanley Lee Raymer, a cherished husband, devoted father, and beloved friend, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026, in Asheville, North Carolina. Born on September 7, 1946, in Cook County, Illinois, Stanley lived a life that was deeply rooted in love and laughter, making a lasting impact on all who had the privilege to know him.
A person who truly cared about others, Stanley dedicated his life to ensuring the happiness of those around him. His delightful sense of humor and jovial spirit brought joy not only to his family but to anyone fortunate enough to share in his company.
Stanley is survived by Nancy Miller Myrick Raymer, his beloved wife of 21 years, who stood by his side through all of life’s journeys. He was a devoted father to his children: Glen Raymer, Krystina Ricchiuto, and Katharine Moseley, nurturing them with love and guidance throughout their lives. Stanley’s legacy continues with his stepdaughter, Nancy Ann Peirsol, and her husband, Bryan.
He took pride in being a grandfather to his grandchildren: Sasha, Sian, Juliet, Amber, Lisa and her husband Trae Jiles, John Daniel, Cheyenne, Cynthia, Samantha, and Matthew. The joy he found in family extended further with the arrival of his great-grandchildren: Theo, Mel, Ava, Addie, Dylan, Kenzo, Kali, Yaavery, Addyson, Kensleigh, Raelyn, Deklyn, and Eilee. Each of them held a special place in his heart, and he deeply valued the time spent together.
Stanley also shared a unique bond with his twin sister, Sandra, who will forever cherish their shared memories and experiences.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Louis Raymer and Marlyn Aubra Rakerd Raymer, who shaped the man he became; and his son, Robert Raymer, whose loss brought profound sorrow to Stanley's life.
The family will hold a private service to celebrate Stanley's life at a later date.
As we remember Stanley Lee Raymer, we celebrate a life filled with kindness, humor, and a genuine love for family. His spirit will live on through the many lives he touched, and his legacy will be cherished by all who knew him.
