Lee Cabe, 78, of Marion, went to be with the Lord at 10:48 am on Sunday, July 21, 2024, in his home. He was born in Marion, Indiana, on August 9, 1945, to Delmis and Nellie (Hoke) Cabe. He married his loving wife, Melody Gibson, on July 26, 1969, and she survives.
Lee graduated from Swayzee High School and attended International Business College. He was an Accountant with General Cable until his retirement.
Lee enjoyed working outdoors, attending grandkids' sporting events, watching the Dodgers, and spending time with family. He faithfully served his local church body, Maple Run Friends, in a variety of roles over the last 60 years. Lee never desired the spotlight, but served his family, church, and community faithfully throughout his life. He was beloved by his children and grandchildren, and his greatest enjoyment was spending time with them. But, most of all, Lee loved his Lord Jesus Christ. He trusted that through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, his sins were forgiven, and he would experience victory over death. It was this faith that he passed down to his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Melody, survivors include his sons, Kevin (Laura) Cabe of Marion and Kraig (Christy) Cabe of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Kordell (Mandie) Cabe, Konnor Cabe, Kamron Cabe, Kaylee Cabe, Karson Cabe, Karly Cabe, and Kenzie Cabe; brother, Jim (Linda) Cabe; and great-grandson, Kohen Lee Cabe.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Maple Run Friends Church, 4460 W. 400 S., Marion, IN.

Happiest days of my life were the weekends spent with Jim and Lee playing whiffle ball, baseball and basketball. Rest in peace my cousin and see you down the road.
