Loretta J. Witt, 87, Greentown, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Century Villa Health Care & Rehabilitation in Greentown. She was born in Salt Lick, Kentucky, on February 7, 1937, to Oscar and Eula (Purvis) Shrout. On October 5, 1953, she married Paul C. Witt.
Loretta was a member at Lakeview Wesleyan Church. She loved people and showed that by serving others in many ways. Her servant's heart led her to volunteer at St. Martin Community Center. Loretta enjoyed spending time at Sports Lake Campground, where she did a little bit of everything to keep the property maintained and welcoming for campers and visitors. She also loved traveling and spending time with family, whom she loved dearly. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as her dog, Isabella.
Survivors include her children, Kim (Richard) Monroe, Kris (Tammy) Witt, and Kevin (Angie) Witt; grandchildren, Richard (Rachel) Monroe, Valarie (Kenneth) Palmer, Amanda (Josh) McDaniel, Wesley Monroe, Brittnie Monroe, Christian (Ryan) Gibson, Kayla Corey, Eric Witt, and Sierra Witt; great-grandchildren, Kenzie, Hannah, Allena, Amelia, Scarlett, Addison, Kamron, Cora, Corey, Kadence, Aria, Harper, Race, Blaze, and Malaya; and brother, Luther Shrout.
She was preceded in death by her father, Oscar Shrout; mother, Eula Shrout; husband, Paul C. Witt; and siblings, Lonnie, Juanita, Annie, and Helen.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Loretta's life will begin at 1:00 pm. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.

Dear family of Loretta, my thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of grief. Paul and Loretta lived across the street from me and were very nice neighbors. May God give you comfort and peace in the days ahead.
