Norma J. Bacon, 82, Upland, passed away at 5:15 pm on Monday, October 21, 2024, at Colonial Oaks Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Greensburg, Indiana, on Monday, July 6, 1942, to William and Katherine (Lee) Moore. On August 12, 1961, she married Paul V. Bacon, who survives.
Norma graduated from Milroy High School and was a Cosmetologist. She was a member of Unity Christian Church. Norma was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished spending time with her family. She enjoyed reading, leading in Bible Study, hosting family get-togethers, cooking and baking, and visiting lighthouses.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Colonial Oaks for the tender care of Norma.
Along with her husband, Norma is survived by daughters, Diane (Greg) Church of Warsaw, Corinna Bacon of Upland; son, David (Rebecca) Bacon of Ligonier; sister, Barbara (Dale) Scott of Muncie; grandsons, Dakota (Brianna) Kreczmer of Columbia City, Elijah Bacon of Ligonier; great-grandson, Andrew; great-granddaughters, Ellie and Ivy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William E. and Katherine Moore; sisters, Judy Meyer, Bonnie McKay; and her daughter, Marsha L. Bacon.
The family will receive visitors from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Unity Christian Church, 140 N. Pennsylvania St. , Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a memorial service to celebrate Norma's life will be held at 12:00 pm with Pastors Philip Bacon and Kevin Greenlee officiating.
