Alexander Malley Obituary
In 1975, Alex began a career in the financial industry, working for several different firms where he acquired expertise in life insurance, annuities, health and disability coverages, and investments. After serving in a managerial role that included travel throughout North America and the United Kingdom, Alex moved to Hernando, FL in 1995 to open his own practice.
In 2005, Alex became affiliated with Illuminate Financial Group, building a multi-generational practice that stretched across the country. With a local client base that spanned Citrus, Marion, Sumter, and Lake County, Alex maintained a desire to be an effective steward; he offered extensive knowledge in all areas of finance, practiced integrity, and individualized service. Alex was recently featured and recognized for his highly effective financial advisory practices in the March 8, 2017 issue of Proactive Advisor Magazine.
Alex was an avid sports fan, following major league baseball and college basketball and football. He was passionate about the New York Yankees and continued his lifelong commitment to Michigan football. Alex loved to cook, read, travel, and spend time with family and friends.
On September 3, 2011, Alex married Anne (Thomas) and created a close community of family and friends at their homes in both Florida and Connecticut. In addition to his loving wife, Anne, Alex is survived by his brother Fred (Monica), Eva (Joe) both of Inverness, FL and son La'Prell ("L.J.") Greene, Jr. of Oregon.
The family will receive friends to celebrate his life on Thursday, June 1, 2017 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Hooper Funeral Home, 501 West Main Street, Inverness, FL 34450. To the family and friends of Alex,
I am so sorry to hear of Alex's passing. I was a friend and classmate of Alex at OLS grammar and Notre Dame HS and have very good memories of Al while we were there. I always looked forward to seeing him at ND class reunions. He will be missed.

We are so very sorry for you incredible loss. Alex was so helpful to us when my Mother-in-law passed away, explaining thoroughly the details of her trust.He was also so kind and patient and thorough with her, when she was not in good health.
