Betty Nichols Obituary

Mrs. Betty Irene Nichols, age 89, of Hernando went to be with her Lord on February 10, 2021.
Betty was born January 9, 1932 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Thomas and Irene (Cox) Varvel. She worked as a Manager for Goodwill and moved to Hernando from Tampa 40 years ago. Betty was a member of the Sheperd's Way Baptist Church in Lecanto, FL, and the Inverness Craft Club where they made items for local charities. Betty enjoyed arts & crafts and sewing and won a Blue Ribbon for crocheting at the Citrus County Fair. Most of all Betty loved her family, she was a devoted mother, grandmother and Memaw.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Ray Nichols, Sr., daughter Jenifer Booker, grandaughter Michelle Booker great grandchild Caleb Nichols, great-great grandchildren Xander Sadler and Zaelin Sadler and her parents. Betty is survived by 3 daughters; Bonnie Booker of Hernando, Becky (Charles Sr.) Sadler of Perry, FL, and Pamela Anders of Hernando, FL; 2 sons: Everett (Diana) Nichols of Homosassa, FL and Walter Ray (Robin) Nichols, Jr. of Hernando, FL, son in law Kenny Booker, 18 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
