Charles Meakin Obituary
Chuck was born in Detroit, Michigan. He is predeceased by his parents Harry and Francis (Bailey) Meakin, his sister Marilyn Shealy and brother Wendell Meakin.
Chuck worked for the American Oil Company until retiring at age 47. After retiring he and Billie settled into their home on Green Lake in Ellsworth, Maine. While there he enjoyed playing golf, ice fishing, snowmobiling and riding 3-wheelers. He loved the sunsets over the lake.
In 1998 Chuck and Billie moved to Citrus Hills in Hernando, Florida. There he was a member of the Citrus Hills Golf and Country Club where he continued playing his beloved game of golf.
Chuck will be remembered as a true Gentleman and family man. He was a hard working, honest man that truly enjoyed life, especially when he was on the golf course.
At Chuck's request no services will be held. to honor Chuck's life the family asks all who wish to participate please make a donation to the Dementia Society of America. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.hooperfuneralhome.com.
