Christopher Hines Obituary

Christopher Earl Hines of Crystal River died Thursday March 15, 2018 of a sudden heart attack while enjoying time with his beloved wife, April. Chris was a devoted family man who cherished time on the river with his son Griffin, and worked tirelessly in caring for his adored son, Michael.
Chris was born April 25th, 1962 in Tallahassee, FL, the son of Rosemary Harbolt and James Earl Hines. He graduated from Leon High School in 1980 and from Florida State University in 1986 and was known to friends and family as a die-hard Florida State fan.
Chris moved to Crystal River to follow in the footsteps of his father-in-law, David Hutchins, at Bay Area Air Conditioning, Inc. He was an active supporter of United Cerebral Palsy of Central Florida. Chris and April were members of the Cornerstone Baptist Church of Inverness.
Chris is survived by his wife, April Hines; his children Griffin, 19, and Michael 14; his mother, Rosemary, his stepfather, Phil Dekle, and his siblings, Dr. Rebecca Hines of Debary, Cheryl Hines Kennedy of Los Angeles, and Michael Hines of Sorrento. He is also survived by his treasured in-laws, Dave and Sandy Hutchins.
A memorial service for Chris will be held Saturday, March 24th at 2:00 pm. at the Lakeside Inn, Garden Terrace, at 100 North Alexander Street, Mount Dora, FL 32757 with a reception to follow.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Chris's name to the Citrus County YMCA, 4127 W. Norvell Bryant Hwy/CR 486 Lecanto, FL 34461, (352) 500-9622
