David Kershaw Obituary

The Service of Remembrance for Mr. David John Kershaw, age 86, of Crystal River, Florida, will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, January 3, 2010, at the Beverly Hills Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes with Rev. Thomas Beaverson officiating. Military Honors will be afforded by V.F.W. Post #4337, Inverness. Cremation will be under the direction of Hooper Crematory, Inverness, Florida. Friends may call 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM Sunday at the Beverly Hills Chapel. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.HooperFuneralHome.com.
He was born July 29, 1923, in Marshallton, PA, son of late James and Hilda (Love) Kershaw. He died December 28, 2009, in Inverness, FL. He worked as a shipfitter for the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard. Mr. Kershaw was an Army veteran, serving with the 11th Airborne Division during World War II, where he was awarded the Bronze Star. He was a member of the 11th Airborne Division Association and life member of the VFW, Williamstown, NJ.
Survivors include wife, Catherine T. Kershaw of Crystal River; daughter, Linda T. Hubler of Bradenton, daughter, Kathleen A. Hughes of Homestead; sister, Anna Bartinoski of Sun City, AZ, sister, Margaret Adams of Pensacola; granddaughter, Melissa Hughes and granddaughter, Amy Hubler.
