Doug Donner

Doug Donner, 81, of Homosassa, FL, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2009, at Citrus Memorial hospital. He was born in Detroit, Michigan and arrived in the area in 1985 coming from South Lyon, Michigan. Mr. Donner was the owner of Polybond Manufacturing and a member of St. Schoolastica Catholic Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict; a member to the Knights Of Columbus #14485 Lecanto, and an avid reader. Survivors include: Sons Douglas Donner of South Lyon, Michigan, Thomas (Colleen) Donner of Redford, Michigan, Gerald Donner of South Lyon, Michigan, and Tony (Dortha) Donner of Northville, Michigan. Daughters Marianne Donner of Beverly Hills, Florida, Peggy Munro of Homosassa, Florida, and Christine (Bruce) Wilkerson of Homosassa, Florida. One brother Ken Donner of Colorado, and one sister Connie Barbalas of Kentucky. 13 Grandchildren: Ryan, Brandon, Heather, Justin, Eric, Sam, David, Alex, Trevor, Shaylynn, Brennan, Aiden, and Nolan.
A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, January 6, 2009 between the hours of 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM; and from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa, Florida. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at 11:00 AM at St. Schoolastica Catholic Church, Lecanto, Florida. Entombment will follow at Fountains Memorial Park, Homosassa, Florida.
