Ethel Madeline Grant, age 92, Inverness, FL passed away February 1, 2022 at Diamond Ridge Health & Rehab Center. Ethel was born on September 26, 1929 in Miami, FL to the late Lee Ogden McFarland and Ethel Madeline Vorese Monk Ogden and came to Citrus County in 1987. She was employed by the Bowman Transportation Company prior to retirement and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Inverness. Ethel loved working in her yard and tending her beautiful flowers.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Barry J. Grant, Sr and wife Mary of Inverness; 5 grandchildren: John William Schryvers, Catherine Barnett, Lori Bitters, Barry Joe Grant, Jr., and John Walter Grant and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Ethel was preceded in death by her husband Bill Grant in 2009 and 2 children, Gary John Grant and Pamela Ann Grant, grandson, Chad Schryvers, brother George and sister, Frances.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 3:00 PM from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Dr. Byron Brown, pastor of the First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow later at Florida National Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2:00 PM until the hour of service.
