Glenn was always such a good sport when my sisters and I would visit and all the women were gathered around talking and laughing. Most times he was the only man in the house and had to listen to us cackling on. Maybe he secretly enjoyed it. We will certainly miss him next time we visit.

To my Aunt Doris, and my cousins, Tina, Jim, Butch, Sherry and all of their families, my deepest condolences to you all. Uncle Glenn you will be truly missed.

Your boots are so big, I delight in knowing my boys have the example you have given and I pray they can fill a pair of their own as they grow into men

1 Corinthians 13:13
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

As Christians we are called to "show love" because God IS love (1 John 4:8) few people truly understand this concept and many struggle with it. However, with Glenn and Doris from the day I met them the love they showed me was true, genuine, and forever. They accepted me beyond just the physical ties of marriage and into the same loving bond granted by birth. The love given without condition or expectation. When I heard the words "don't call me Mrs. Sivia I'm grandma and you can call him pop" my heart swelled up. As I gave birth to four precious little ones I could delight in the family they were being born into The Sivia family. Every trip down I would watch Pop with his eyes study and deep following the kids soaking in the special moments as they played on the living room floor with the same blocks that had felt the sticky fingers of many children before them, he saw me mother them and gave the knowing smile when discipline was necessary (in spite of wanting to laugh), the little hands who touch a cactus knowing that they "bite" but doing it just to give it a try, climbing trees, and running through fields picking up many a sandspur and on a recent trip watching one slip his foot into poppop's boot and my voice saying the truest statement ever said "Those are big boots to fill" The testimony of his life is the love that he has shown. I have my faith in God. I have my hope in his promises. And I know His love by the examples of it in my life. The example of Family. Thank you Glenn and Doris for loving me and showing me and my kids how love works!
