LTC U.S. Army (retired). James Edward Roy, Jr of Crystal River, Fl. Passed away October 10th, 2024. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, October 29th at 11 am. at Mission Hill Church in Temple Terrace. Interment will follow in Florida National Cemetery.
James was a native of Crystal River and a resident of Tampa for 45 years. He attended Howard Academy class of '51 in Ocala, FL. and a BS in Biological Sciences at NC A&T 1956.
James was a former member of the Tampa Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America, a volunteer with the Military Retired Officers Assn., his church home repair ministry, and the Florida Hurricane Disaster Relief Organization. He was self-employed as a Medical Radiation Physics Consultant in Florida at 35 hospitals.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Diann, and four children, Michael, Carlos, Terri, and Alan.
