Hi Dad, well Steve and I went to New Orleans for a week. Really had a nice time and enjoyed ourselves. Couldn't find the paper with all the street names on it, so couldn't look up those. We really wouldn't of had time. Will have to go back. Miss you so much. Was over at Tommy's house yesterday for his birthday. He is '40' years old now! Had a nice time. My light is on for you always. Love your Darlin Daughter, Joann

Merry Christmas Dad on your first Christmas in Heaven. I really missed your call today. It was pretty sad. I miss you so much. The days are getting easier to get through. Had your Tampa Bay sweatshirt on, so you were kinda here, alot in thought. Yesterday when I took Brandon to wrestling practice, on the way home, what do I see in the sky? A balloon floating up to the sky! The tears came then. It was just like you were here. Packers are doing pretty good now. Hope we can go to the playoffs. Have to say good bye right now, so I Love you. Merry Christmas Dad. Love Your Darlin Daughter, Joann

Happy Birthday Dad, I would be calling you right now and singing "Happy Birthday" to you and I really do miss that.It was really hard this past month going by the card section of every store, I would find myself just glancing at the cards for Dad's. I'll miss you Grandpa. I'll always be your Mandy. We are so glad we came by and saw you during our time in FL. the other summer. As I was reading the article that was written in the paper, I remember all the shells at the house and how I thought it was the coolest thing when I was little. I love you.

So sorry on Johns passing. We saw you both at Dr Mac's office in January and everything was well. We were shocked and overwhelmed by the news. The article in the newspaper was right on target. We will miss him. We were friends of Sue & Al Ward and met John at the gas station. Love and Prayers are with you.

Jane... I am so sorry to read about John's passing. I can add to the other praises about him... a gentle person, friendly always smiling and "all around nice guy".
My husband (Al) who died 3 years ago, worked with Carol, John, Roscoe and Judy at the Texaco Station. They had a LOT of fun together!!! He thought John was a very special person.

My dear friend told me of John's passing and my heart was broken. I met him years ago at the Texaco station when i stopped every Saturday for lottery tickets. We talked mostly about the Tampa Bay Buccaneers(good/bad news), his dogs and just about everything under the sun. He was a joy and a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day!! Once the Texacos closed I didn't see John again but always sent him a birthday card with a note to keep in touch. Thank you John for being a kind, gentle soul. My prayers are with you and your family.
