Leonard Altavilla Obituary

Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.HooperFuneralHome.com. Leonard was born September 24, 1937 in Pittsburgh, PA, son of Ralph and Josephine (Emmanuel) Altavilla. He died April 9, 2016 in Beverly Hills, FL.
He worked as a Executive for the US Postal Service for 33 years and moved to Beverly Hills, Florida from Pittsburgh, PA in 1994. Leonard was a master gardener, an Adult Literacy tutor and an avid reader.
He enjoyed jazz music and Frank Sinatra. Mr. Altavilla was Christian by faith. Mr. Altavilla was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Susanna Altavilla. Survivors include 2 sons: Ralph (Lori) Altavilla of Beverly Hills, FL and Mike (Cheryl) Altavilla of Raleigh, NC, sister, Antoinette Lytle of Pittsburgh, PA, 5 Grandchildren: Meagan, Amy, Christopher, Kevin and Nicole and a great-grandchild, Daniel.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Hooper Funeral Homes & Crematory.
