Mary Varda Obituary
Mary Anne Varda, 85, of Inverness passed away at home on January 1, 2023, under the loving care of her family and Vitas Hospice.
Mary was born in Lacoochee, Florida, on November 18, 1937, to the late James Lee and Marguerite (Snider) Hilton. She was an accountant for the Florida Division of Blind Services.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Franklin Lewis Weeks, Jimmy Lee Weeks, Deborah Lynn Griffin, Lisa Anne Quinn, Robin Marie Campbell and Susanna Maria Lara. Also surviving are her brother, James Lee Hilton and sisters: Patricia Larok and Melinda Kennard, and her 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lucien A. Varda, Jr, her daughter, Elizabeth Anne LaBar and sisters: Susan and Virginia.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at 1:00 P.M., at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Inverness, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ms. Mary Varda's name to: The Citrus County Animal Services, 4030 S Airport Rd, Inverness, FL 34450
Private entombment for Mary will be at the Fort Myers Memorial Park in Ft. Myers, FL. Arrangements are under the care of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home in Inverness.
