Michael James Barton

1950 - 2021

Michael James Barton, 71, of Inverness, FL passed on December 6, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family.

Michael was born May 12, 1950 in Corning, New York son to Laverne and Beverly Barton. He is preceded in death by his parents and son, Gregory James Barton.

Michael graduated from Horseheads High School in 1968 and later obtained his Bachelor's Degree.

Michael is survived by his wife Deanna Barton; sons, Michael Barton (Christy), Michael Winberg (Taylor); daughter, Alexandra Maisel (Shane); grandchildren, Alijah, Gabriel, and Avalyn Maisel; sisters, Deborah Klugger, Brenda Lee Hale; nephews, Josh Becraft Klugger, Drew Klugger.

Michael had many likes and hobbies from playing guitar, flying airplanes, Harley Davidson motorcycles, passion for cars/racing (love for Corvettes), Mecum car auctions, University of Florida Football, his career as a contractor, but most importantly being a Husband, Dad, and Pop Pop (Grandfather).

Michael was involved in the construction of many homes and pools in Hernando, Citrus, and Marion County, FL. His most recent position of 30 years being President and Managing Partner of Nature Coast Pools, Hernando, FL. Many of his clients/customers wrote "Thank You" cards & notes which he held with great pride and displayed within his office.

Michael will be remembered for being loving, caring, kind, compassionate, loyal, and funny. His kindness was extended to family, friends, and his many dogs that have been a part of his life.

Services will be held at Grace Memorial Gardens (Hudson, FL) at a later date.
