Michael Schick Obituary
He is survived by his wife, Betty, of 51 years; his daughter, Jennifer; and grandson, Cooper. Mike was a member of Bill Haley and the Comets in the 60s. He was the original leader of the Tampa rock band "Mainstream" and the co-owner of Makin' Music Brooksville with Betty. They also fostered rescue dogs together.
Memorial donations may be made to The Shriners Hospital for Children Tampa, Florida or Precious Paws Rescue Inc., Floral City.
Arrangements are under the direction of Strickland Funeral Home and Crematory, Crystal River.

I am so sorry to read of Mike's passing. I met Mike while I taught at Malkin' Music. Mike did my guitar repairs and we spent many hours chatting. RIP My friend. Bob

Michael "Baby" Schick and I shared the good friend Jim Dixon, and we became friends through him.

Although we knew Mike for only a relatively short period of time, we will never forget sharing some of the happiest moments in our lives with him and the warm and loving welcome that he gave to us. Mike was an accomplished man who lived a very interesting life - we will always cherish the incredible pictures of his music career, the beautiful book that he wrote and his wonderful sense of humor. Rest in peace Mike. We will always miss you.

Mr. Mike sold me my first flute back in 1988. 30 years later, I'm still playing... Mr. Mike and his wife Betty, touched so many lives in Hernando County and helped to keep music alive in schools. Rest in peace at the best concert in the sky!!!
