Patricia Whitesell Obituary

Heaven has gained a new angel. Patricia (Patti) Eileen Whitesell passed away peacefully Jan 29, 2016 in Homosassa FL.
She had a fierce love for God, family, and her pets and made anyone that met her feel special. Vibrant, beautiful, kind, generous, full of life and full of love, she was the matriarch and shining light for her family. Her strength and love was unwavering even during difficult times. She had an intense passion for traveling, cooking, Red Hatters, shopping, and gold and diamonds. Born in Lake Worth, Florida, her life as a military officer's wife and travel agent took her around the world and fostered her love for travel and experiencing new cultures. The military life eventually took her to Alaska and there she found the place that she would forever call home. Whether in hip waders fishing on the Russian River, clam digging in Chinitna Bay, modeling the latest styles on a catwalk, RVing between Alaska and Florida, or anything in between, her beauty, poise and joie de vivre was ever present.
She is survived by loving spouse Ray Murphy; brothers Ed Shoupe and Charles Shoupe; sister Na Christy; children Chuck Stanley, Debbie Floyd, and Tara Whitesell; grandchildren Linsey Fox, Jimmy Hammerle, Jesse Hammerle, Brenton Stanley, Danny Newbill, and Jordan Newbill; and great grandchildren Chase Fox and Peyton Fox. We love you so very much Mom, you are a precious soul who will forever be missed.
A celebration of her life will be held at Homosassa Church of God 8323 W. Bradshaw St., Homosassa, FL on Friday, February 5, 2016 at 3:30 pm. Food and fellowship will follow.

Patti you are at peace now and no more pain. Mom and I loved seeing you at each Red Hat meeting even when you fixed your own party for everyone. You are a special lady that I am very fond of. I am glad I got to hug you at the Greek Festival this year when we were there with the wildlife rescue. This world will not be the same without you in it. However I know now you are watching over your family and your children. God Speed to Heaven you are and will always be a Very Special Lady I sat beside at Red Hat's. Love ya

Patti, you will always be remembered in my heart as Betty's BEST friend. And you were there for me when I most needed a helping hand.
"Two Peas in a Pod". There's no better way to explain the friendship that you and Betty shared. As I've said before, you and her were in a race. It was a long one for both of you but you both win because you are both in the house of the Lord Jesus. I know my Betty was there to greet you.

May God spread his grace on thy, keep you happy, and pain free.

Red Hat Sister. She was a helping hand to all of us. We will miss you Patti.
