Robert Bellcase Obituary

Robert L. ""Bob"" Bellcase Jr., 78, of Homosassa, Fla., passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014, at his home under the loving care of his family and HPH Hospice. He was born in Ventura, Calif., June 18, 1935, to Robert Sr. and Virginia (Talmage) Bellcase, one of four children. Bob, as he was known to many, left California at an early age and was proud to call Mobile, Ala., his home. He moved to Homosassa 44 years ago from Venice, Fla. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran from 1954 to 1957; was a longtime Homosassa Lions Club member and also a member of the Optimist Club.
Bob is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara Bellcase, Homosassa; his three children, Gene Bellcase, Ocala, Jeff Bellcase (fiancé Shelley Signs), Crystal River, Spencer Bellcase (Tammy Muzzy), Ocala; brother, Butch Bellcase, Zachary, La.; sister, Diana Nelson, Kerrville, Texas; grandchildren, Adam (wife Kelsey), Kyle, Michael, Tiffany, Brae and Ryan; and great-grandchildren, Kayden, Ethan, Devin, Taylor and Ryanna. Mr. Bellcase was preceded in death by a son, Brian Bellcase, and a sister, Rae Ingram.
Friends will be received from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014, at 1st United Methodist Church, Homosassa, where a funeral service of remembrance will be held at 2 p.m., with Pastor Sandra Garner officiating. Entombment will follow at Fountains Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions in Bob's name to Wounded Warrior Project.
