GROME

Amy L. (nee Slonkosky). Beloved wife of 35 years to Joseph C. Grome. Devoted mother of Benjamin J., Nicholas J. and Katrina L. (Fiance Paul C. Mueller) Grome. Loving daughter of Margaret M. (nee Wetzel) and the late John P. Slonkosky. Dear sister of Margo (Bud) Lewis, Casey (Mary) Slonkosky, Andy (Patty) Slonkosky, Tina (Tom) Travis, Jessie (Joe) Zuniga, Mimi (Tim) Burke, Polly (Alan) Barga, Eddie (Mary Lou) Slonkosky and Sr. Mary John Slonkosky. Sister-in-law of Kathleen (late Scott) Dannemiller, Tom (Wendy) Grome, Carl Jr. (Nann) Grome and the late Marianne (Tom) Moorman. Passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at the age of 58. Amy was a dedicated music teacher at St. James School and St. Dominic School. Visitation will be held at Frederick Funeral Home, 2553 Banning Rd. on Friday (March 18) from 4-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. James Church (White Oak) on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. James School Fine Arts Program of Music, 6111 C heviot Rd. Cincinnati, Ohio 45247. Condolences may be expressed at www.thefrederickfuneralhome.com

Joe, our family is so sorry for your loss. Mary Beth worked with Amy at St. Dominic. I actually worked with her at the Mount. She was an incredible and beautiful person. We cannot imagine the loss you and your family must be feeling. However, please know that Amy and your entire family will be in our daily prayers.

Amy and I worked together as lifeguards at Grand Lake St. Marys when when we were in college. She sang at my wedding. Her happy, friendly nature, her ready laugh, her deep faith, her love of family and music are all things that I will never forget.
