Antony Lenhardt Obituary

Lenhardt

Antony Werner, passed away on July 12, 2011, 6 days before his 68th Birthday. Born on July 18, 1943 in Kikinda, Yugoslavia, the beloved son of the late Anni and Kristof Lenhardt, founders of Lenhardt's Restaurant in Cincinnati. Dear brother of Trude L. Saunders (Dan) of Cincinnati; Renee L. McGregor (Gary) McGregor of Hattiesburg, MS and Chris H. Lenhardt (Kathy) of Cincinnati. He is survived by eight nieces and nephews. He is also survived by dear friends Deidre and Kurt Trefzger and family. Tony arrived in Cincinnati March 1950 with his mother, Anni. While he was attending grade school, Toni was selected to be in a movie with Bing Crosby and Anna Maria Alberghetti in "Here Comes the Groom" portraying one of the refugee children. The rest of the family arrived in Cincinnati, December 23, 1951. After high school, Tony worked in his parent's restaurant, then studied in Switzerland. He joined the Army and became the personal chef for the Commanding General at Fort Lewis in Seattle, WA. Tony owned Lenhardt's Catering, and after retiring moved to Canada where he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Tony will be dearly missed my family and family here and in Canada. In lieu of flowers, the Lenhardt and Trefzger families suggest memorial donations to the "Disabled American Veterans, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301".
