CORTEZ

Dr. Armando A. Cortez, beloved husband of Beverly A. Cortez, devoted father of Jordan A. Cortez and Austin A. Cortez, brother of Orlando Cortez, Bernard Cortez, Maria Cortez, and Amelia Wayne. Also survived by numerous extended family and friends. Departed Saturday, December 23, 2017, at the age of 75. Dr. Cortez was a medical doctor specializing in Obstetrics-Gynecology for over 40 years. In addition to having a private practice, Dr. Cortez practiced at numerous hospitals and clinics throughout greater Cincinnati, including: Tri-Health, Mercy, Cincinnati Health Department, Northside, Millville, and West End Heath Center. Dr. Cortez was also a Diplomat of the American College of Obstetrics-Gynecology. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 5, 2018 at the Gilligan Funeral Home, 2926 Woodburn Ave., from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10am Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel at The Summit Country Day School, 2161 Grandin Rd. Internment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Montgomery, OH. Memorials may be made to either The Summit Country Day School or The Michael J. Fox Foundation. What a blessing he was a very good doctor he delivered All My Children all 10 and when I say that was the biggest blessing this man could ever give me it was he was truly a wonderful doctor he saved my son's life after birth he's truly going to be missed

Dr.Cortez was my doctor for many years.He also delivered both of my children, Myeashia and Keith Black and he also delivered 5 nephews of mines.He was a great Dr.and he will always be in my heart forever. My daughter is the one that tolded me that he died. I was so touched
by it when my daughter tolded me this sad news. She always remember him.He truly holds alot of memories in our hearts and lives. Rest on Dr.CORTEZ .FROM THE BLACK'S, PATTI,MYEASHIA, KEITH BLACK.

Dr. Cortez delivered 3 of my kids. There was never a dull moment with him as my OB. He was always smiling and full of life. I´d even made my oldest son´s middle name Cortez. He is 24 now. My condolences to Dr. Cortez´s family. He was a wonderful man.

He was a beautiful man. He became my friend while being a patient of his since I was 13. He delivered both of my children just before he retired. Miss him dearly.

Dr. Cortez delivered me. He was supposed to deliver my oldest daughter but I went into labor early and he was on vacation. However, he delivered my youngest daughter. I am so happy that he was my doctor and saddened that we has passed.

Dr Armando Cortez deliver my first child she's 24 years old now it was a brilliant doctor then three years later he deliver my second baby girl I'm so blessed to tell them if they had a great OBGYN to bring them into this world my condolences go out to the family and I hope you guys see this

It has been over 20 years since I worked with Dr. Cortez at one of the Cincinnati Public Health Clinics. Out of the blue memories of him came to me this morning. I am sorry to see that he has so recently passed. In my memories Dr. Cortez was very down to earth, caring for his patients, and crazy about his wife and children. We shared a lot of good humor and compassion. I remember that he generously shared his Audio Digest CME tapes with me. Sending prayers for comfort for all who are touched by his loss.

Tom and I are so sorry to hear of your loss. Please know we have wonderful memories of knowing you. Our children were delivered by Dr. Cortez and I always felt we were in the Best Hands. It was the best time of my life and so priviledged to have shared it with Dr. Cortez.

This one really hurts. Dr. Cortez delivered all three of my children. The last delivery was a very special one,due to a premature birth. I have never in my life had a physician that prayed with me. I am lost for words right now. praying for strength and comfort to the family.
