Bernard "Bud" Joseph McEvoy, 90, passed away May 20, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Helen McEvoy (nee Hummel); his children Dan (Dede) McEvoy; Marilyn (Todd) Sandell; James McEvoy; Janet (Sandy) Suckling; Mark (Louise) McEvoy; Kay McEvoy; and Karla (Tom) Hibarger; eight grandchildren: Jonathan McEvoy; Andrew (Laura) McEvoy; Nathan Sandell; Niels McEvoy; Emma McEvoy; Will McEvoy; Wyatt McEvoy; and Jake Hibarger; and two great-grandchildren, Margaret and George McEvoy. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Ann Charles, and daughter-in-law, Marlies Vandervelde. Bud was a member of the American Legion, New Bremen, Ohio, and the Knights of Columbus, St. Mary's, Ohio; and was commissioned a Kentucky Colonel in 1985. He was also an avid golfer and hiker, and had a deep love for the American West. Visitation will take place from 11 AM to 12 PM on Friday, May 26, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church 8815 E. Kemper Rd. Cincinnati, Ohio 45249, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati, P.O. Box 633597, Cincinnati, OH 45263-3597.
