Donald A. Beloved husband of Wilma (nee Rohlfs). Devoted father of Donald J. (Gina) Vonderhaar, Jennifer (Jerry) Boehner and Kelly (the late Jason) Simpson. Loving grandfather of Kayla, Allison, Lauren, Adam, Lexi, Molly and Kamryn. Brother of Chuck, Stiney and Bill Vonderhaar and the late Mary Weitzel and Jerry and Rita Carol Vonderhaar. Retired owner and proprietor of Don Vonderhaar's Market and Catering. Passed away suddenly Monday Aug. 29, 2016, age 72, resident of West Chester. Visitation Thursday Sept. 1, from 4:00-8:00PM at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home, 10211 Plainfield Rd, Evendale. Funeral Mass Friday at 10:00AM at St. John The Evangelist Church, West Chester. In lieu of flowers, memorials requested to St. Rita School for the Deaf or Glenmary Home Missioners. www.mrfh.com

We have fond memories of Don. We remember him driving the big dump truck up to our house while we were remodeling, the tractor through the woods in the winter (he along with my brother would push snow off neighbors driveways), the golf cart he and his grandkids drove in the summer, and him in his brand new shiny HUGE pick up truck! Don made a grand statement wherever he went and always with a smile. He will be missed. We regret we were unaware of his passing until after the service. May peace be with Wilma and his family, "you're not alone, stop holding on and just be held".

He was so nice to my parents when they first moved here in 1958. And 5 years ago he helped at my sons wedding. Always had a smile on his face.

I am very sorry for your loss. I only knew Don for a few years but enjoyed my occasional chats with him about his crops. He was obviously a good businessman, well liked and respected in his communities, and beloved by his family. Words cannot replace Don.

So very sorry to hear of Don's passing. What a great loss to the Reading Community. Don always had a smile on his face and always had time to talk. I remember when he bought H & G's.
