Edward HAWKINSON Obituary

HAWKINSON Edward Palm, son of the late Carl Oscar Hawkinson and Anna-Maria Palm. Born in Lake Norden, South Dakota of Scandanavian heritage on Feb. 13, 1915, passed to eternal rest on Oct. 1, 2007, age 92. Mr. Hawkinson, a forty-year resident of Anderson Township, was currently residing at the Arden Courts Alzheimer's facility. Devoted husband for 62 years of Sally Field Hawkinson, cherished father of Edward (Peggy) Field Hawkinson and Ellen R. (Charles) Williams, loving grandfather of Jacqueline S. (Mark) Rhone, Charles E. Williams III, Brooke E. (Chris) Frazier and Spencer Hawken White, great-grandfather of Blake Subinsky, Megan Rhone and Jackson Frazier, also survived by sister, Betty Hawkinson and brother, Dwight "Bud" Hawkinson. A graduate of the University of Minnesota, Mr. Hawkinson was a chemical engineer and the project manager responsible for the building of chemical processing facilities nationally, as well as internationally. He and his wife retained many fond memories of his years on assignment in Brisbane, Australia. A memorial service in celebration of his life will be held next month at Anderson Hills United Methodist Church, where he was a member. Private burial services will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Buffalo, New York. Fares J. Radel Funeral Home and Crematory serving the family.
