Edward RIGGS Obituary

RIGGS Edward Lee, of Milford, OH., formerly of Greenup, KY., beloved huband of Iris McDonald Riggs, loving son of the late Howard B. and Carol Louise Riggs, devoted father of Howard (Carolyn) Riggs and Amy (Bill) Beck. Affectionate grandfather of Andrew and Matthew Brandon, Sydney Riggs and Madison and Devon Beck. Eddie was a 1950 graduate of Lincoln Memorial University AT Harrogate, TN., a 1953 graduate of Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, a member of Milford 1st United Methodist Church, a 50 year Mason, a Shriner and a lifelong second generation funeral director. From 1954 till 1986 he was the owner of Riggs Funeral Home in Greenup, KY.. From 1994 he was the owner of Craver-Riggs Funeral Home & Crematory in Milford where he was deeply involved in the day to day operation of the business and helping advise and teach his son until shortly before his death. Funeral services will begin 11 A.M. Tuesday with visitation fom 6 to 8 P.M. Monday evening, all at Craver-Riggs Funeral Home & Crematory, Milford. In lieu of flowers, the family strongly suggests that expressions of sympathy be made in the form of memorial contributions to Children's Hospital Medical Center, or to Milford 1st United Methodist Church Building Fund.
