As a kid in poverty stricken 80's Uganda, Frances was my sponsor from 1988 to around 1999. She was a donor at Fatima Project, an initiative that must have been founded by the Arch-diocese of Jinja, Uganda. I used to write her letters, but for some reason management would not give us direct contacts of our sponsors. She would write back too. I remember we also exchanged pictures. I remember one of hers that came with one of her letters to me. After Fatima Project wrapped up around the beginning of the year 2000, one of her letters to me slipped through with the address not torn, or scratched off with a pen. I kept it for a long time, always procrastinating writing her directly. I wish I had done that, but sadly I never did. She paid for my education, and would send me Christmas presents every Christmas. I miss her dearly, and may she rest in eternal peace.
