I just found out about Jim's passing. He was my barber and friend for the last 30 years. Jim was a complete gentleman and a very gracious individual. We always talked about family and our kids. Jim knew my wife and kids by name and always wanted to know how they were doing. I last saw him in September and he was optimistic about the future and his recovery. It will be tough walking into the shop this afternoon and not seeing him. I will miss you my friend.

I started going to Jim over 30 years ago when I had a lot more hair and he was in the original shop in Beechmont Mall. I stayed with Jim throughout the moves not only for the great haircuts, but for the good conversation and funny jokes and stories we shared. I moved to Florida a little over three years ago and I have not had a good haircut since. I guess no one here knows the corners of my head like Jim did. I hope that somewhere down the road we will meet again and I'll get another great haircut. I'll miss you my friend.

So sorry to hear about Jim. I loved going to Royal Hair from back in the old Beechmont Mall days when it moved from one end to the other and even thru the tear down. I kept going to Jim all thise years for the easy conversation, great haircut and to talk about boxing or cars. Over 30 years of haircuts from Jim - a very good man. He will be missed.

Jim, my thanks to you for over twenty-five years of friendship, great smiles, funny stories, and fine haircuts. We both enjoyed the blessings of good long marriages, great kids and "the world's most beautiful grandkids". Of course, we also shared a love for the great American muscle car and told stories about all the wonderful machines we owned or longed for. Every man needs a "Jim the Barber" in his life. I'll see you on down the road.
