As the anniversary of your death approaches, I'm reminded of all the joy and laughs we shared. I'm proud to have called you my best friend, and I miss you dearly. Definitely our loss, but heaven's gain.

I just found out today about Jim. I am crying right now as I type. Jim was a huge influence on me. He had my back when others didnt. He gave me advice. He showed genuine interest in me. He showed confidence in me and helped me gain confidence in myself. He was one of the smartest men I've ever known and he was so humble. He was a leader. When he spoke, you knew you were listening to someone important. Some times I would just sit and watch him. Watch how he carried himself, how he spoke, how he handeld things. Man he was awesome. He took his work and his sports and excercise serious. He loved a challenge and enjoyed accomplishing goals. You could trust him with anything and he always came through on what he said he would. Just a really really great guy and so competitive. He competed against the cancer he had and he hit it head on. Ive never met someone as brave as him. There is not enough room or time for me to tell what a great person Jim was. He was my mentor and my friend. Thank you God for putting him in my life. I dont know where I wouldve ended up without him. I can honestly say that I am who I am today and what I am today because of Jim. This world lost a truly amazing person. I look forward to seeing him again someday. Josh Salyers, Owner/President Salyers Complete Contracting.

Carol I am so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. Was so honored to have known him for only a very short time and will always feel very honored that I was able to assist you in getting him to his last family gathering. You and Jim will always be remembered. Jim did inspire me with his stories.

I am so sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. I only knew him through racquetball, but in all sincerity, he truly stood out in the toughness and competitiveness that he showed on the court. Even more, though, I was impressed the self-effacing, personable, witty guy that he was off the court. I would be proud to show even half the toughness and character that he displayed as he fought his long battle. I know he will be fondly remembered for these and many other admirable attributes. It was my great pleasure to know him. Bob Kruger

I only played softball with Jim for a few years but he made such an impact on me. Even though he was such a good ball player, often outplaying kids half his age, it was Jim, the person, who impressed me the most. He was genuinely nice, easy to talk to and always seemed to have a smile on his face. He will be missed.
