Edward "Coach Ed" Huggard, 74, of Bay County, Florida, passed away on September 13, 2025.

He was born on December 27, 1950, in Oscoda, Michigan, to William "Bill" and Jane Huggard.

Ed will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving dad, and a lifelong coach who impacted countless lives. His passion for sports was endless-whether it was football, golf, fishing, hunting, rugby, swimming, euchre, or his beloved poker league. He was also known as the best storyteller, filling every room with laughter and wisdom.

Ed is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Esther Huggard; his children, Billy Huggard and Alia Heit; his brothers, Bill Huggard and David Huggard; his aunt, Eunice Kreger; and several nieces and nephews.

A Circle of Life celebration will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 12:00–4:00 p.m. at 2853 Woody Marion Drive, Chipley, FL 32428.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Josten, the ICU nurses at Gulf Coast Medical, Dr. Khan, and the nurses at Select Bay Medical for their compassionate care.
