Zion Baptist Church, where they lived happily for many years. During the early years of their marriage, they were blessed with two wonderful children, Renée LaVerne Huggard Lewis and Graylin Dwayne Huggard. In 1981 they decided to move to
Newport News, VA, and began attending Emmanuel Baptist Church.
There, she was a longtime member of the Deaconess Board, the Willing Workers and the Senior Ministry. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband James R. Huggard, Jr., her children, Renée H. Lewis (Clinton) and Graylin D. Huggard (Jennifer); her grandchildren Justin D. Huggard (Crystal), Evan T. The words she leaves behind: "Father God - You are the light that lights my way, the hope that lifts my spirits, the balm that heals my body, and the resilience that keeps me keeping on. Thank you, God, for the miracle that is my life. Amen."
If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. One believes with the heart, resulting in righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, resulting in salvation. - Romans 10:9-10
