Jim and I had been out of touch but he was a good friend many years ago. Just two weeks ago I told my daughters a funny story about Jim and then I found out he passed recently. I will always remember him as friendly and fun. Lauren, you were just a toddler when I knew Jim but he loved you dearly and talked about you often.

Out of every tragedy comes hope. Jammie's death may have been the impetus for our extended family to finally know each other.

I had no idea James had been ill, I am so sorry. If anyone has additional info they could give me, I would greatly appreciate it.I am concerned because I was his first wife and we have a daughter together; Lauren Shapiro. I need to be able to answer her questions when I break this to her.
