Miami Township - Janet Lynn Peter (nee Burress), 72, Feb. 9, 2020. Loving wife of Timothy W. Peter, devoted mother of Sarah McKee & Daniel Peter, loving grandmother of Samuel, Jonah, Isaac, Molly & Vivian, beloved daughter of Marjorie (nee Byrnside) & the late Jack Burress, dear sister of Kimberly McConkey (the late Samuel) & the late Rodney Burress (Dolly), loving sister-in-law of Terri Peter, also survived by nieces, nephews & friends. Visitation Thurs., Feb. 13, 9:30 AM until time of service at 11 AM at the Westwood United Methodist Church, 3460 Epworth Ave., Cincinnati. Reception following immediately after the service. Procession forming Fri., Feb. 14, 10 AM at Dennis George Funeral Home, 44 S. Miami Ave., Cleves, for graveside service 10:30 AM at Maple Grove Cemetery, Valley Junction Rd., Cleves. Memorials to the Youth Mission Fund, c/o Westwood UMC. Janet was an elementary school teacher for her entire career & a longtime member of Westwood UMC. She was ever devoted to family & friends & set for all of us a perfect example of living for others. She taught everyone around her the true meaning of being a Christian. Dear Tim and Kim,
I know you don't remember me, but Janet was my very dearest friend at West High in junior high. I absolutely adored her and I'm devastated at the news of her death. A kinder soul never walked this earth and I am so sorry to hear of her passing! Please accept my heartfelt condolences. May her loving spirit be with you during this difficult time.

By far the most authentic, beautiful, caring, and kind-hearted person I have ever had the pleasure to love and call friend. She inspired everyone who ever knew her to be their BEST SELF, through emulating the Love of Christ to all whose path crossed with hers and Tim's. Jan touched so many lives including our family's. She and Tim both have been great Christian role models for our kids, Aaron & Ellie, in confirmation class and youth group at WUMC. For a time I was in a share group with Jan and grew closer. She never hesitated to say a kind word and always asked how our kids were doing over the years whether at church, the neighborhood Kroger or even at Fernbank Park where we often walk and ran into Jan and Tim. Such a beautiful person through and through. I am so grateful to have known Jan. Prayers for Tim and the family at this difficult time. We will do our best to keep Jan's light shining on!

So sorry for your loss. Jan and Tim also) was such and inspiration to me as I pastored at Westwood many years ago. So pleasant and kind all the time.
