It is hard to imagine the planet without Jerry. He was so wonderful to our family for decades--a great pal to our mother Lilly and an inspiration (with Sue) to Bill and me, as well as my sister Suzy and Alan. He always had a wonderfully bad joke to make us laugh, a shrewd bit of advice, and a giant heart. We will miss our dinners in New York, delightful phone chats and visits to Cincinnati-- but are very thankful for the happy memories.

Ishrat and I are saddened to hear of Jerry/s passing. I first got to meet Jerry, over 15 years ago, as a fellow Board member of National Conference for Community and Justice, Cincinnati. At Chip Harrod's urging, he and I initiated the Jewish Muslim dialogue at a time when such activity was anathema on both sides of the aisle. He displayed great courage and statesmanship in coming forward along with Sue and several other members of the Jewish community, coming to our home for the first meeting. This started an era of growing understanding, cooperation and friendship between the two communities. We did not always see eye to eye but had respect for differing viewpoints. I feel that by his efforts, Jerry is leaving behind a richer, more cohesive Cincinnati for future generations.
We last saw Jerry and Sue at a dinner we shared at a restaurant in Mason about a year ago. We will always cherish memories of our times together.
Our heartfelt condolences to Sue and the rest of the Teller family and all our Jewish friends.

Sue, my sincerest sympathy to you and your entire family. Jerry is great man who made a significant difference in my life by his example of honor, integrity and generosity. A true blessing to me and also to one and all. I started out as a client and ended up feeling like family. I love you both. xoBrenda
