So shocked to have ran across this obituary. Tim worked with jerry and we both enjoyed his humor and zest for life. What a special guy he was and his memory will live on with us! We pray he is dancing in Heaven!

Dear Ernst family,

I just saw this today by chance; it's a complete shock. His name crossed my mind a few weeks ago, after all these years, and I thought I'd look him up. My heart breaks at the news; what a sweet, kind, happy-go-lucky, loyal, steadfast and precious man Jerry was, with a huge heart for others, and someone I considered the dearest of friends during my years in the music industry back in the 1980's and 1990's. I hold so many wonderful memories of those days; he was just an ace of a guy, all around. I remember going out to dinner in the Rolls with his Grandpa and his Dad, dancing at January's and the Dock, laughing with Jimmy and Michelle, he and Kirk throwing me a baby shower, helping me move my mother on New Year's Eve after she had her stroke...so many, many memories, and now, I have such sorrow that I didn't look him up two months ago.

He was such a great friend to me through thick and thin, and I stuck by him through the same. Life moves people around; I moved, he moved, and we lost touch over the years, but every time his name would cross my mind, I'd smile. I still remember the last time I saw him; it was many years ago in Cincinnati (he'd just bought a house), and his eyes were just as sparkly blue and his smile was just as sweet.

I offer my deepest condolences to all of you, and may the comfort of the Holy Spirit continue to sustain you through this season. Never assume another day, but always show love to one another, for that is what remains through the span of our lives, and afterward. My dear friend Jerry will always live on in my mind and heart.

God bless you all,
Marie-Dolores Anderson
